Design for Molly Maps
Molly approached us to redesign her logo for Molly Maps, her art-maps company. Molly believes that maps are ways to celebrate our connection to place—and can be expressed in less technical ways to achieve our innate love and connection for geographic locations. By rendering by hand, she allows emotion to override technicalities creating artistic expressions of sense of place. She wanted her logo to denote this meaning, so we took her handwriting and paired it with a stylized version of a river icon she had painted on a panel.
As she says on her website, "I combine cartographic design and landscape art to create unique visual expressions of geography."
