Design for dot’s market

Working with Susie Barnes, owner and chef of Dot’s Market in Lincolnville was an incredible experience. To be in the presence of such coolness (Susie founded Rockland local favorite, Waterworks back in the day, and she was a chef aboard a schooner for years) was a treat in itself. Having taken over the previously-owned and beloved business, Dot’s, Susie hired us to redesign the store to reflect her own styles.

Our mission was to create a brand that reflects Susie’s creations: comforting, memorable, and put-a-smile-on-your-face. Located on busy coastal Route One next to Lincolnville Beach, the logo really needed to pass the ”drive-by test” of being on the streetside sign. So next time you’re in the midcoast, be lured in by the gorgeous sign and the promise of buttermilk fried chicken, homemade baked goods, prepared comfort foods, and specialty foods to take home.
